In vanilla ck2 you can give a claimat a barony in your empire then attack a kingdom with his claim which would result in that kingdom becoming part of your realm as your vassal would be the new ruler.

In ck2+ I've noticed this is not possible. When you push your vassal's claim on that Kingdom they become ruler of that Kingdom independently and they take the land they had in your realm. Is there a submod that restores this method of expanding? I want to be able to expand by supporting local claimants as Justinian did.

Are you an Empire already? If I'm not mistaken, when you claim a Kingdom for someone else and you want him to remain as your vassal, you need to be an Empire.

The same applies if you press someone else claim on a Duchy and you're a Duke yourself for example

In Plus you need to give them a title at least as high as the one you're claiming, so a kingdom in this case. This is different from vanilla where a barony will always do.
