I have played CK for some time and enjoyed it much :D and I thought about also getting the expansion. But when I read about the expansion is that is quite buggy with many bugs an so on:(... So now i ask you guys here at the CK forum, is it worth getting or is it buggy as I have read?

BTW, is there any good mods for only CK (orginal game)?

Get the expansion. It adds a fair amount of useful things, not all of which I can remember at the moment (but notifications of things you should be aware of, plus a bridefinder), and is no more buggy than the base CK.

If you install the latest beta-patch I believe that is not really that buggy. I have encountered precious few bugs with it ... and it is definitely worth the money :)

Thanks for the tips! :)

Edit: BTW, I have this annoying problem with vassals breaking free when playing as Germany, "a vassal of ours has decleared indepence", whats is that event file called in the db\events-file?

Been playing CKDV 2.1 and have not found it to be buggy at all.

Just got the DV expansion pack, and I must say I'm impressed :)
It's a lot less buggy and more enjoyable thanks to so many new events.

Who said that it's buggy?

Initial release had few major bugs (for example economic map mode had graphic bug), which were all fixed in the beta patches. Currently the game is less buggy than before. Also current version is more stable than the previous ones and crashes only rarely, while crashes weren't uncommon in 1.05.

Just google, the first site:
Gameplay: You’d think that with all of the wonderful new features, CK:DV would warrant a five star rating for gameplay; however, it suffers from a very serious CTD Error that happens periodically and with increasing frequency the longer you play a particular game. It doesn’t seem to affect all rigs, but if this thread is any indication, a large percentage of systems seem to fall prey to it. Paradox is aware of the problem and they are trying to figure out the cause (the difficulty in reproducing the error makes troubleshooting difficult), but as of now it’s not unusual to suffer a CTD every decade while playing. There are also a few other minor bugs, including the Revoke Excommunication function of the Papal Controller not working and a failure of the game engine to always assign a Papal Controller whenever either the Pope dies or the Papal Controller dies. These bugs conspire to sap the expansion of its full potential; however, when it works, the game is a blast to play.

BTW, thx - again Veldmaarschalk :D

Not knowing which site or review that is from, my guess that was done on DV2.0 which was buggy.

But beta-2.1 has fixed most issues.
