Gameplay: You’d think that with all of the wonderful new features, CK

V would warrant a five star rating for gameplay; however, it suffers from a very serious CTD Error that happens periodically and with increasing frequency the longer you play a particular game. It doesn’t seem to affect all rigs, but if this thread is any indication, a large percentage of systems seem to fall prey to it. Paradox is aware of the problem and they are trying to figure out the cause (the difficulty in reproducing the error makes troubleshooting difficult), but as of now it’s not unusual to suffer a CTD every decade while playing. There are also a few other minor bugs, including the Revoke Excommunication function of the Papal Controller not working and a failure of the game engine to always assign a Papal Controller whenever either the Pope dies or the Papal Controller dies. These bugs conspire to sap the expansion of its full potential; however, when it works, the game is a blast to play.
