I'm a new player and had a question. I've been creating some assets for my own use and thought some of them might be of use to other players. For example a police station parking lot with non-functional parking spots and police cars and a helicopter. I'm making the assets with props created by other players. I was wondering what proper "best form" is for doing this? I don't want to do something that is frowned upon by using others props if it's not best practice. Some of the assets have multiple creators props in them so it would be tough to credit everyone (if I could figure out who the creator is at this point.

Question: Is it OK to post assets from asset creator that utilize the work of others? Thanks.

If you're putting the props together in a building, like a park or an intersection, then you just list the used props as required items. Steam lets you do this after uploading the asset to the workshop, and anyone using what you created will need the props for it to look right.

If you're making new props using the meshes and textures of someone else's props, then asking permission before posting is the way to go.

Hope that helps clear it up a bit
