Question about the Kingsguard

Something seems like its gone a bit sidways for me as I'm right now down to two members of the kingsguard and I've not had a single event proc to have me pick new members since I took the throne.

There a plenty of knights with the needed level of fighter training. Is there something I missing or...?

For the record I'm using the Qohor test version and the 2.4.5 beta patch. And I did opt into the beta AFTER and started this particular save if that might be important.

Edit: Also, quick second question, is having no Septon a bad thing? I currently have no churches (save for that of the High Septon) in my demense and as such no candidates for the position.

Edit2: used the console to fire the event manual and it worked just fine, I did notice that in the console where it showed all the requiremnts, that both Is NOT Married and Is NOT a Ruler had a (X) next to them instead of an (*) . This is very odd as when fired the options give are very much not married or rulers by any stretch.

I suppose it's some bug with the triggers for the event. However, you can always appoint men to kingsguard trough diplomacy menu (Appoint to Kingsguard).

Did you already check if you had some Kingsguard out of Kings Landing protecting a landed member of the royal family? I know what I played in the version waiting to be updated that whenever I made a new Prince of Dragonstone they would complain to be about Kingsguard protection.

Its not a big deal unless you want to do their mission. You can always recruit a new courtier and choose the Holy Man option. You *should* be able to appoint him as your Septon even though he has not landed temple.

That is another thing, I can't seem to do that either. There is no such option when I right click anyone what by all accounts meets the requirements. Not even greyed out, just not there at all.

I have one member of the guard in Dragonstone guarding one of my sons. The only other one is the Lord Commander.

I actually didn't know that you were given options with that decision. Thanks for the info there.

Edit: Ok, there must be something borked about the save. I just started a fresh game to be sure and I can appoint members just fine and the events fire as they should.

Edit mk2: Turned out that, and I do not know why, I had the ignore_kg and selecting_kingsguard flags. Once I edited the save to remove them things now work.
