I was wondering if there were any plans to allow some of the major game magazines and websites to do reviews of the game before it is released, or if such plans had been scrapped due to the Vicky piracy issue?

We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
I think their waiting a bit with giving out copys to magazines earlier than the game hits the shelves, mainly because of the problems it caused with victoria. (reviewers giving it to pirate groups)
I understand them completely. Too bad that the fight against piracy is one we can not win.

Damn I want reviews...maybe you could send some big Russian guys to follow the reviewer around..lol

We sent out about 100 cds to various german, french, swedish and english magazines/sites the last 2 weeks.

Being in the gaming industry and having given reviews for some games to some guys who recieved CK, and I say that those who I know and have played it said:
A) Creativity on the subject is great
B) Some will say its complicated (OK fine but don't knock off score for it)
C) Its revolutionary gameplay (some like it some don't end scores who knows)
At least 2 of my buddies at English sites have asked me if I'm up for a MP game if I go to Europe in the next week
I haven't posted nor will I post after this post until game is released. I'd of preordered CK but my Credit card company is lame, and doesn't work on the mastercard web page thingy. oh well. Just hope Distribution is better then with Vicky (yes I know for NA its really out of Paradox's hands and its in Strategy First's hands.) Everything sounds good, I do hope it gets the reviews it deserves!
