Smack me in the head if this has already been asked before but I can't seem to find a clear answer anywhere around these forums or on the wiki.

Is there a cap on your influence level or is it possible to max out every branch/have all techs unlocked eventually?

I haven't checked it myself but as far as I've read from the Dev Diary, the influence techs are accessible in custom/skirmish mode as well. I'm assuming however you can only gain influence in the campaign by doing the side quests. It's bugging me because I was wondering if I were to reset a mission and re-do all side quests again, will the influence be added on top of the first time I completed them or would I just be replaying the level for naught? I'd hate to have 'loose ends' in my influence tree because I assumed I would eventually have enough points to unlock the techs I desired. If there's an actual cap on this, one can actually plan out a build/spec rather than finding out halfway you won't be able to have your Warlord Prince because you went to deep in the production tree in the beginning. For that matter I'm not quite sure how the system work/if it uses pre-requisites etc. so any enlightenment is appreciated here.

I would research this myself but I'm not so sure what the reset button really does and I don't feel like replaying a mission if it resets my actual progress/rolled me back.
I'm not that far into the game yet as I like to take my time with games like this and go at my own pace, exploring everything and whatnot, so yeah.. apologies if I overlooked the answer somewhere.

But when i finish a level without having solved all side quests and then go back to the level later and finish them they do count, or not? Just want to know if i have to solve them all before i finish the main quest.
