I was just wondering if provinces are numbered the same way in the save files in all games and if so, if anyone has put together a list of province names/numbers and could point me in the right direction.

you can find the list of provinces with their associated numbers in Province.csv, inside the DB directory. The numbers there are the same ones used in the .inc and savegame files to identify Provinces for the game's engine.

Thanks very much, I suppose if I'm going to tinker with the game files, I should explore them all first!
I have a .html province list at my site with all the relevant data (ie all the crap take out =).
It's listed in Continent/Region/Area order to make it easier to find the right province.
