So... there is a limit of planetary objects that a solar system can have? Yes?
I started my 2nd mod for Stellaris a couple of hours ago by creating the Csilla start system with all the planets and moons and also wanted to create a new government, new name list, new portraits taken from SWTOR etc. all for the awesome Chiss.
Everything was fine, lots of testing tho, and when I was done with the Csilla system I noticed something missing...
Take a look at the planet Formac and the moon Csorb 2. They both got no orbital path.
I did quite some code checking and testing and searching etc. and then it hit me why they got no orbital path like the other planets/moons.
This is a screenshot of a system that has 31 planets (sun including, although on this screenshot they are all suns but the starting planet).
A closer look at planet no. 31 shows that it has an orbital path.
Now this is a screenshot of a system with 32 planets (sun including again).
Taking a closer look at planet no. 32 reveals that it has no orbital path.
Conclusion? Apparently solar systems in Stellaris can only have orbital paths for 31 planetary objects in one system. Everything above that doesn't have one.
Question: Why is that? Is it hardcoded? Or can it be changed via modding? I looked through the files for the usual suspects but I didn't find something that is related to the orbital path although I did not search that thoroughly. Too tired for that.
But if someone already knows why this is or if it can be changed or whatever then please let me know.
This really bugs me, the missing orbital path, especially since the Csilla system ain't the only one with so many planetary objects in it. This is a problem and I'd like a solution (skipping planets or moons ain't one).
Paradox? Why u hate 32 planets?
EDIT: If there is a hardcoded limitation of planets a solar system can have, could you, Paradox, raise that limit to Idk 50 instead of 31?
