Question regarding installing 1.3b

Good day,
After starting the game up, should the version number have changed from 1.3a to 1.3b? I have extracted 1.3b,using winrar, to the game directory over my clean vanilla 1.3a install but the version number is still 1.3a.

Since there is no change in the Hoi.exe the version number will not change.

You do have Hoi2 and not Doomsday?

That's correct, just HOI2. Thanks for the reply.

1.3b is not an EXE change so the version number does not change. I believe it was an AI pack that I asked Paradox to release for me.
