So i'm making a mod for myself but i dont want to just edit the game files. What i want to know is how do you make a mod in the mod file and play it by selecting it in the mod selecting thing at the game startup? Also is it possible to delete countries and replace them with new ones or rename and completly change everything about them. I thiink thats it for now i will probly have more questions later so thanks for the help in advance. Peace

You need two things: a mod directory and a MOD file with the same name. The mod directory should consist of things you've modded. For example, if you want to mod the buildings, you'd copy the common folder from your game directory. Then copy buildings.txt and put it in the common folder. The idea is that you always keep the structure in the original game directory, so the game knows where to look for your modded files.
The MOD file can be borrowed from any other mod, just rename it and adjust its' content to your own mod (open with Notepad). If you've only modded buildings.txt, you'd only include a line saying extend = "common" and the title at the top. :)

Yup, you can delete them, replace them with new ones, rename them and completely change everything about them. :p
Peace, man.

Sweet, thank you thats just what i wanted to know. Also i was looking around the forum a while back and saw a guide to making new countrys but i cant find it anymore if somone could point me the right direction that would be awsome. Again thanks in advance and Peace.

Yay, thank you now i can get started. By the way i am making a medieval mod that takes place inbetween 900-1150 A.D. and i might end up putting it on the forum if i can get it working the way i want it to. Peace.
