When you click on a characters shield, you can view the relationship you have with them.
1- Is it possible to see anywhere is this is improving or declining?
2- Is it possible to see anywhere the factors causing it to improve or decline?
3- What exactly does the relationship affect? I'm pretty sure it affects how likely they are to attack and how they react to diplomatic actions, correct?
4- If you claim the title / attack someone you have a good relationship with does it harm your reputation more then if you do it to someone you have a bad reputation with?

Any other important stuff about relationship?

Thanks

1. Relationship only increases or decreases through actions, f.e. arranging a marriage will increase it.

2. No

3. They are more likely to accept offers from you or decline them if it is low.

4. No there is no difference.

Unlike EUIII, relationship isn't really a big factor in the game, much more important is the loyalty-rating of your vassals. You can most of the time simple ignore the relationshipfactor, you won't notice much of a difference.

The only thing I can think of where relationship is important is for the event that can give a catholic ruler the emperor trait, one of the conditions to get the trait is to have more then 100 relationship with the Pope

1. No, not that I know of
2. No, not that I know of
3. Not really sure. I rarely take notice of it much. It might be a trigger or modifier for events between the realms, and probably affect the possibility of them attacking you. I do know that the better the relationship, the better the chance of them accepting a vassalisation offer. And probably also other diplomatic options.
4. No, the badboy costs of claiming a title is the same whether they are at +200 or -200.

As far as I remember, there are not many ways of affecting relationships directly, besides giving them money or your daughter's hand in marriage. Other factors might play a part, like your reputation, diplomatic skills etc. But I haven't seen any in-depths investigations into the relationship values.

People seem to be more interested in loyalty values of their court and vassals, than what other realms might think of them :)
