1. Will the A.I. be smarter about boats than in EU2, where they can be bested by simply building several hundred stacks? Also, will it be smarter about war in general? (and about upgrading it's provinces and forts?)

2. How will badboy work?

3. Can you pursue Explorers and Conquistadors w/out events?

4. Does the game permit transfer from CK?

1. so far, A.I. has been globally improved but this is a huge task...

2. the same way but all BB values are now moddable for adjustement if necessary

3. no

4. if a new CK converter is created (or existing one updated), but not as a standard feature.

Will be the game closely tied to events, like it was in Europe universalis 2? I think, it will not be very good, when puny Austria beaten by all of her neighbours receiving Hungary and Bohemia at instance.

And You must remember, that Austria not conquered this countries, but inherit them.

There were other candidates except Habsburgh as well. Without military forces and it's influence Austria can't "inheriting" this countries. There was a strong movement against Habsburgs in Czech, (former Bohemia) which struggled for electing their own king and that kinda stuff was in a time when this dynasty was really influencial and they used military for consolidation of their power in this country. I want to say that they acted much like the conquerers in Bohemia and in Czech. (the story with a Transylvanian count tells as also that he was much more prefferable candidate for Hungarians, then Rudolf (as I remember, maybe I mistaking) Habsburg. In other words, the event in EU 2 was not realistic completely. It is more like that if Austria was weak as a state at this time it was an easy picking for a Turkish empire and other states never accepted Habsburgs reign willingly.

Will the game be built in to accept CK transfers and prepare Vicky transfers?

That's what I'm wondering too.

It would be great if CK transferred into AGCEEP mod, it would be strange but could be interesting.

Every game has patches. When something good enough comes along, maybe it can be added in a future patch. (like "Transfer Crusader Kings Saved Game" as an option on the menu with instructions on how to do it, like notes that it's not intended to be done early in the CK game, etc., etc.) That way, it gives people a desire/curiosity to play both the prequel and sequel.

Yes, we are aware of the concept of patches. :p

In all seriousness, the main reason not to do it is that we have better things to spend our time on (like AI, for instance). Previous experience shows that people in the community have the skills necessary to make converters, and our time is better spent doing things that the community can't do.

There's something I thought I knew but I've come do the conclusion that I don't. Will there be a vanilla version and a AGCEEP version separated? Like it is in EU2. Or AGCEEP will be already present in the vanilla version of FtG? I read it will "bundled", but I don't know what that means.
