Hi, all

While im somewhat a noob for HoI i have yet tryd the coremod and have some problems playing as italy. I annexed Aethiopia and Albania, my belligerence is about 11%, the partisans give me hell and the unhappiness is about the same value. Including the industrial penalty for tech i cannot produce anything but resupplys and goods, ahm how is this supposed to work ? I tryd to lower the unhappyness by focusing on producing goods, i disbanded about 10 divisions and a whole fleet, yet i need alot of supplys.

I simply cannot see how i shall become more than a pushover for france and england not to speak about the usa, while i cannot even build a new unit. I cannot lower the belligerence, funnily adolf has this trait of lowering it by 0.5 per month !? Even after i disbanded half of the army, make aethiopia a puppet, and drop the unhappieness below 5% i still cannot do anything.

Use your units to suppress the partisans in Ethiopia and Albania - don't disband them. Trade for supplies if at all possible. You will probably have to live with the dissent for a while, but the partisans hit you with a double whammy - they cause dissent overall, as well as penalising your production in their actual provinces. Research the industrial techs (light & heavy industry, and the Military recovery ones as a priority) to improve your IC. Belliegrence you are pretty much stuck with - the only way to lower it is likely to release a puppet state (Ethiopia, say) - but that will generate more Dissent for you.... so it is a bit of a "lose-lose" scenario.

Italy didn't do very well in history.. it is a definite challenge to play them. There may be some changes in future versions, but nothing in the very near future.
