Questions RE: Multiplayer (saving games)

Hi,

First of all my nephew and I have the 1.02 enhancement (both retail versions). I can be the host and he can join me. We have 0.36 in the manpower bug line. We play "share countries" so I can teach him the game without having to guess where he is at. He cannot see the "events" so we switched to make him the host. He has problems being the host. He has cable but no router as far as I know. We updated some of his drivers. We both have McAfee firewall. He cannot be the host. I guess this is something we will have to figure out ourselves.

One question. I saved a multiplayer game as host. There appears to be no way to log back on to this saved multiplayer game. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Okay. I see I have to scroll down to see the saved games.

Is there any reason why my nephew can't see the events? Only I can see the events. He sees other popups like, Army Corps. XXX arrived in <insert province>, but he cannot see the events like Anshluss of Austria. Thanks.

you can easily change what the game show in popups and what it doesn't. go to options -> message settings, and scroll down click on or off the messages you want to receive as popups or in the history log.

Thank you for your help but I saw no option for a Major Political Event for "our" country. If I play Germany, I cannot disable the message that appears on Jan. 3rd, 1936, telling me that the German people demand a reoccupation of the Rhineland. I cannot enable or disable such a message. I will always see it. For some reason, my nephew can't see it although we share countries. He can see all the other popups. Any ideas? Thanks again.

That's a random event. Only the person who gets random events can see them. It may be that only the "lead" player can see the random events pop up.

Ah, so only the host can see random events when playing "share countries". Can anyone verify this? Just curious now.

You can verify it at home. Have your nephew host and you coop and see.
