Currently in my game i am unable to declare war. I cant press my wife's claims or any of the claims i have fabricated - the declare war button is greyed and says i dont have any reason to declare war. Also, is there any way to edit the files so that i can declare war against people that hold land inside territory where i have a title in? Because in my stormlands game, some of my vassals declare independence without saying a word and i got no cassus belli against them and cant declare war even if they hold land inside the stormlands.

The only thing I can think of if you need a CB is to type in the command claim c_(Insert County) or claim d_(Insert Duchy)... Other than that I can't think of why it is not working for you....

Could you give a little more detail?

If they are a vassal of you're liege (like, both counts (lords) under one duke (high lord), or both high lords under one lord paramount, you should be able to declare war. However, if you and your target are both in the Stormlands, but you're a high lord and they are a lord under their own high lord, then you have to declare war on their liege.

If you're the high lord of the Stormlands itself, you'll have to declare war on another lord paramount if you want lands in their realm. And if you have claims on your vassal's titles, you can't declare war on them - but you can revoke them, provided crown law is high enough.

That is, as long as you're wife's claim is usable - if it's a weak claim, and the incumbent isn't a child/imprisoned/incapable, then you can't press it. This can get confusing with lieges, as I'm not sure whether the actual target must be in regency, the higher lord you're declaring against, or both.
