As someone with an occasional mundane question and not the heart to start a new thread each time, I thought it might be good to start a QA thread for this wonderful mod.

Here's the first:

What's the mechanism used for holding decisions like cleansing the Greenskins and upgrading tribal castles?

Also, the free city and temple when updating to feudal is a mod addition, right?

Reactions:
1) Just a variation on the vanilla decisions.

2)No, they are Horse Lords additions.

Not sure what you by "mechanism" they're title and holding decisions which were added with the HL DLC.

The free city and temple are a vanilla change IIRC.

Is there any way to change your mount? Not knowing the decision to train gryphon would be gone I got myself a pegasus. Do they die after some time? Or am I stuck with it for the rest of my game.

From what I know, you're stuck with the Pegasus for the rest of that characters life. Mounts are still pretty placeholdery, in my opinion.

Will there be more named characters? Any solution for the slave raiding problem was found?

First one depends on if we add some other parts, then obviously yes. Slave raiding problem...not that I know of.

How do I gain slaves as a Dark Elf? I've tried raiding provinces in Ulthuan, and I've holy warred few high elven colonies, and I couldn't get any slaves, just regular prisoners

What are the ways a character can learn/gain magic?

I think that is answered in the FAQ, but short summary:
Humans outside of the Empire can learn through education by a present mage, or trying to become a hedge-wizard.
Chaos worshippers MAY get magic as a present by their benefactors, except Khorne.
Elves depend on the type. Wood Elves need Education by another Spellsinger, Druchii may only have living female mages that are gathered together in Ghrond to be schooled while Malekith is alive (edited in), and Asur can either homeschool their children if mages themselves, or send them to Hoeth, where they'll live a student life and learn magic in the meantime.
Dwarfs don't get magic, Chaos dwarfs see Chaos Worshippers. Lizardmen don't exist properly yet.
Oh, and Beastmen MAY be born with magic inherent. Orks just sometimes get the revelation they can actually call Gork&Mork.

You're right, I should have been more specific. If I was actively trying to learn magic, are there any things I should try to do for me or my children?
Mostly pray for them to have magic talent hidden somewhere deep inside them, and give them high learning. If I remember correctly, you need at LEAST 25 Learning to have a chance to pass, and even then only with magical talent or undead-ness.

Vassals are less likely to get turned, unless they ask for it (which the AI can do). Vampire rulers are more likely to turn their spouse or lovers or kids.

Chaos dwarfs see Chaos Worshippers.

Unlike Chaos Worshippers, Chaos Dwarfs may only get magic by being blessed by their god, Hashut, after showing their devotion trough many sacrifices to his name. Then, to improve it, is a rare event you get during the great offerings.

Question, male Dark Elf mages may still get hunted and killed even after the Witch-Kingdom is destroyed?

No, that shouldn't happen. Malekith on Naggaroth determines the triggering of the event.
