So a few quick questions if the devs or community manager could find out I know others were wondering some of these questions too.

First how long is it anticipated to be before the AI is "repaired" and working like it should to provide a challenge? Both strategically and tactically though I know there has been a little progress recently and this is a rather lengthy thing to fix

Second how long will it be until we can customize stations such as the naval base and last i played I could not launch craft from my defense platforms has that been fixed and if not when will it be?

Those are all I can think of that are critical before I will play again but I have waited about a year, not as long as some but still awhile to wait just to have to set a game aside until I can play it solo the way I like. Please it will help waiting to have a timeframe to look back instead of checking about every week to look at progress.

So, you know this isn't the place to go to reach the Devs, right?

They've been working on the AI recently, but I don't think they have a timeline...

You can already refit naval stations to change their weapon loadout. I don't know what else in the line of 'editing' stations you expect, but I didn't think anything was coming in that line. As far as I know defense platforms with riders launch just fine.

AI will be an ongoing thing, it's going through a set of updates now (and has had some in the past as well, but now they are really tweaking it). Currently working on the strategic thinking, once finished, they'll tweak the tactical some as well over the coming weeks.

You need a level 2 station to be able to customize the weapons loadout on stations, level 3 stations are needed to do ship (weapons) upgrades (retrofits). Turn 1 has free ship design / prototyping, so take advantage of that as well when starting a new game. Platforms have been launching BR's and drones for some time now. A LOT has changed in a year, including a FREE expansion, the original "Lords of Winter" is no more and now Sword of the Stars 2:End of Flesh expansion (which has a new faction/Race and some other features) is included in the base game which is now called Sword of the Stars 2: Enhanced Edition, or SoTS2:EE

Well the BR thing for stations was about 2 months ago that there las no way for me to launch them, same with changing weapon load outs on stations. I also do understand they are working on the AI but that does not say much I have seen AI updates before as you mentioned. I would like to know if they feel the AI will be acceptable in a month or 3 months or a year.I mean I don't think its too much for someone that bought the game to say "You know all I am asking is to know when the game will be really playable to normal expectations with AI opponents as promised"

I'm not totally sure changing weapon loadouts on naval stations worked in November...but I think it did. Are you sure you didn't just overlook how? It's kind of well-hidden.

I've never had BR bays on stations so I have no idea about that.

You know, I'm not going to disagree with the feeling that Kerberos owes us for this mess, but I don't think that is going to lever them into publishing a schedule of improvements.

And really, I wouldn't expect such a schedule to be practical or trustworthy. They'll be able to tell us when the AI will be up to snuff about the time it starts stomping human players in the beta patch.

Ok I just opened a game to test this out how do you change what weapons are on a naval station for example I see that I can upgrade it but nothing like changing what is actually on it.

Ok nevermind I see the way of right clicking on the elft hand menu and going to refit but this isn't quite what I mean. In the original you could see where things are located on the station much like the ship design is there a way to retrofit like that?

As long stations are not "design" in design screen I am afraid not. At least if they were "design" then you could weapon test fire but I think one of the reason why they did not do it is because you would have to provide "design" for each tier that has a weapon and if that module is installed or not.

Tier 3 with one weapons
Tier 4 with one weapons, Tier 4 with two weapons, Tier 4 with three weapons etc....

No there is not, and I doubt there ever will be. Stations are an agglomeration of modules...there are dozens of possible configurations of a level 1 civilian station, and vastly more of any station that actually can mount weapons (level 2+ military stations AFAIK, maybe also gate stations?). They never set gantry inside the ship design screen.

They also have really simple weapon outfits, so I'm not sure there'd really be any point. You just get a two-heavy-mount battery per combat module, nothing else to it. No need to make careful choices about PD coverage and such because you haven't got any.
