You say you had your DirectX analysed, was it by me?
If so please provide a link.

Whole lot of problems here.
First is your Video card driver being way out of date and not made for the current Dx version.
You need to update them, if you hjave problems doing so you should contact ATI support for asistance.

If you are not having trouble with other games or apps, then it is unlikely to be an overheating problem.

Let me ask jpd to take a look he knows more about laptops than me.

Okay Make sure you are following all this advice.
1) Make sure you have the latest patch for the game.
2) Rename the AVI folder to AVI_back
3) Set the color depth to 16BIT
4) Turn off everything in the background like E-mail/ICQ/Messenger, Virus protection and everything in the system tray beside the clock.
5) Run a Virus check and a Adware/Spybot checker
6) Update your Windows, update your Video card drivers and audio card drivers. Then repeat steps 1-4.

Have you tried everything else listed in post 15?

Maybe take your system in for a check up?
Sounds like maybe it is overheating.

DDraw Status: Not Available
D3D Status: Not Available
AGP Status: Not Available

That concerns we since it is listed as an AGP card.
What are your AGP setting in the CMOS? (BIOS settings)

A quick search on the model number produced this as the first link.

Make sure it is the correct place before installing. Perhaps contact them for confirmation.

That is what I meant, which part of the Bios upgrade instruction are you finding diffilcult to understand?
