I have already done a complete uninstallation of the game (with deleting of files in LocalLow in Steam\steamapps\common\Cities Skylines II\ and deleting all mods, except the reinstallation of UK and Japan Pack, and DLCs) but still crashing after 1h30/2h playing.

I tried to disable DLSS, autosaving and decrease the resolution but still crashing.

I have this problem since the 12th December patch.

I'm out of idea now. I'll very grateful if you are able to find a solution :(

Set up configuration :

CPU : AMD Ryzen 5 5600X (3.7 GHz / 4.6 GHz)
RAM : RAM DDR4 32 Go (4*8 Go, 3200 MHz)
GPU : NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080ti 12 Go OC

Hi

If that problem happens again, can you also add the Logs folder in the zip file, together with Player.log file? I can't see it added here.
Right after a new crash happens. I suppose you have already got back into the game and opening it overwrites the files.

Dump file - can you check if you have it in this folder:
C:\Users\***\AppData\LocalLow\Colossal Order\Cities Skylines II\.cache\backtrace\crashpad\reports
- I get it in there for some reason.
Just add it to your new zip next time And drop it here.

And with any other problems or strange things happening - save the game in a new file (with a new name) and leave the game (close it). That will generate those files in the Logs folder and Player.log - send them again as a new bug report (you can put game version as 1.2.0 or whatever it is at the time - nothing else is required usually). You can include screenshots or short videos (zip them first as videos alone are not accepted).

Other than that, I'm sure it will be looked into. It takes a while to fix such stuff, but my guess is it won't be waiting for months .

Crash again! You can find in attachment all upadated files. I didn't restart the game.

Hi,

Do you still experience this issue with the currently, with the newest update (1.2.3f1)?
Hello,

Unfortunatelly, the problem is still here...

Playing is low setting decreases the crashing risk but now, my city has about 65k citizens, and it seems to crash more than when my city was smaller.

I specify the crash happens only when I rotate the camera to a general view of my city, or when I move the camera across many districts.

You can find in attachment the last Crash reports files ( the file in Temp/Colossal Order/Cities Skylines II/Crashes is empty, same in Windows Events Viewer)

Thanks for your help

Did you try disabling the DLC, from steam? I recall that Urban prom caused crashes, which may not have been fixed, so try disabling that first. I had the same crash last year (on move) and have not had it since disabling UP.

Yes, even in 100% vanilla (without DLC and Packs) the game crash...

I've never seen this problem whereas I have the game since its release

Ok, at more than 100k citizens, constantly crashing. The game has become unplayable!

Disabling antialiasing has just helped a little bit, but now it's useless.

I'm scary that this game is definitively broken for me...

I loaded your save. I have a hypothesis on the potential "cause" of your crash. The actual solution is probably to wait for a patch, but here is my line of thinking on how I came up with this. I start with the premise that some pathfinding issues causes crash to desktop
There were two buildings, and only two buildings in the entire city on Woodland Lane that were waiting for Ambulances. When I clicked the buildings, it didn't show any ambulances dispatched to them. One of the buildings, I used moveit to move back from the road a bit. And then an ambulance was able to make it. The second building, however, did not cooperate, and would not accept an ambulance at all. I deleted the building, and even after, it still showed waiting for ambulance. When I clicked on the ambulance symbol, it showed once resident now turned homeless by my cruelness, Rian Tanner, now wearing tattered clothing, is still waiting for an ambulance. In one last evil act, I deleted him from existence.
I don't know if it has to do with the parking lot roads or not, but in this instance at least SOMETHING was blocking the ambulances from getting in those buildings. Screenshots. For the one showing buildings, only one shows waiting for ambulance, and the other building I moved is the one highlighted. You can try deleting those buildings and our poor friend Rian and see if it helps.
This may buy you time as this issue may manifest itself later on, or it may cure things for all eternity. But give it a try.

Another thing you might want to try as a workaround is moving the map by keyboard.
W = Up
D = Down
A = Left
D = Right
Q = Strafe err.... rotate ccw
E = rotate cw

Loading big cities on my normally stable install I've crashed the game also. Keyboard movement was awkward at first, but it gets better with time (and in some ways easier like when you plopping down a long straight road/track).

Zooming in/out and tilting the view axis becomes the pain point, I just do that a bit more slowly when I have a large city loaded and creaking along.

I get the same exact type of crash if I zone any Urban Promenade areas. I can use the service buildings with no problems, but if I use the zoning tool to add in some Urb Prom Mixed Use, the game will crash as I move my camera and see the zoned UP section. I stopped zoning any UP areas, but can still use the service buildings without any problems. Game doesn't crash at all for me anymore.

I think the pathfinding is also glitched because I have many problems with building which have no connection to the road without explanations.

However, I don't think this problem is the cause of all these crash. I hope a next patch or pack updates will correct the problem, but for the moment, I try to Play without crashes... and the crashes seem happened when there are too détails in range.

This potential cause is credible but I tried to play in vanilla (without mods, packs and DLC) and still crashing, that's why I conclude they are not responsive of these CTD.

I don't understand, I never had this problem before the beggining of December and I already reached 400k citizens without problems...

Hello Paradox,

I have it very often. I started the game 10 min ago and could play for 1 min only. The rest of the time was crash, restart, crash, restart. Even not moving the map.
Please guys, this is a great game to have problems like this and make people discredit the game.

Thank you for your efforts.

can you open your own bug report thread? There are multiple reasons the game could crash so it is best to open your own thread with your savegame and logs attached to it. Less confusing that way for all involved
