The CTD's begun to be more frequent and random after the military overhaul in the beta patch.

I'm concious that the Achilles heel of my laptop is the graphic card, but I can live with that if I'm honest. The thing I'm puzzled is what exactly provokes the CTD.

Following the instructions, I will attach the last crash log.

I know that this may be more like a "you need to upgrade your rig" rather than "perhaps you can fix it doing X and or Y" but I'm taking the shot here.

More details about the CTD: Sometimes, it's less than a minute after loading map after choosing the country (TL,DR: taking the first actions or the first clicks even), other times is one week, two week, even crashes when doing an autosave, other times it can take one or two years so it's like playing Vicky 3 with a Russian Roulette - CTD version.

Just to note, I did reports almost everytime the game crashed and sometimes I gave context to what I did.

Frankly, with that video system I'm amazed it runs at all! It's so far below the minimum ....

I can't guarantee that is causing the crashes, but does mean I can't redirect you to Bug Reports as QA won't look into any issue on under-spec hardware. The same fate probably befell your crash reports, I'm afraid.

What CPU and GPU temperatures are you seeing? The fps would be 60 or under, I'd think from those files? Does running at a lower speed help?

Never tried the lower, but I will.

But yes. Before the 1.5 military patch the game ran as silk with all disabled or in performance (except animated).

My suspicion is the military graphics are the one doing this and Brazil begins with a war so...

Another clue, the banner setting for captured land was taking some power (less performance) so the stripped setting is a bless.

I will try to do it on speed 4 and 3, if that gives me crash I will try 2 and 1. If that crashes too, I'm afraid I have to endure the pain then.

When I get crash for other speeds I will add it as attachments to this thread.

Thanks for the quick reply, though (just to be aware, with this little Renault 4 -a way to say an old but reliable car in Colombia- I run every game I played in the last 5 years: Destiny, AC Unity and Syndicate but that one was pretty bad run; Origins too but same fate as Syndicate, Hearts of Iron 4, CK 3 -thanks to a friend-, Conqueror's Blade, The division 1 and 2 -very below average but was enjoyable when enemies rendered-, For Honor, Warthunder, Enlisted, tested BF4 and 1 and was very below average too.)

Aye, it's like competing on F1 with a car like that, but I love my car though XD.

Got news! got crash again with the new patch and at speed 4.

As I was saying to the report box before failing the uploads to oblivion: The game goes really fast in Mapamundi mode (Zoom out) but the rendered mode is the tacky one (sometimes freezes, other it takes time to keep executing the program and others it doesn't continue until it renders everything). Also, the freeze chance gets higher in week change and it's at highest with month change (Autosaves every month).

The crash happened on Autosave for April 1, 1836. I guess the new render elements is taking a toll on my old card (something I should be more aware).

I wonder if the old style setting can be a future option (the thing is: what to do to represent the fronts and units in the map then? perhaps "Wargame figurines" as the battle audio plays in background).

I know I'm asking a lot, but I do know too when I have to endure it.

I do hope though the crash logs can be useful.

You are welcome to post that request in the Suggestions forum here. But frankly, the likelihood of the devs spending time to get the game working better on under-spec hardware is not high, in my estimation!

Maybe there is a mod that simplifies that screen to help low video power setups?

Perhaps when someone do that and makes it functional, you can give them som spotlight in the YT channel.

For now? Keep playing the CTD Casino.
