RAR Files

need a little help with unzipping the new Feb. 07 patch(s). I downloaded them both, but they are RAR files and everytime I open them up it brings me to my C++ program. Any help would be useful, I have the unzipper that came with XP. Thanks.

I personally use WinRar. You can download a trial version from download.com (IIRC, at least).

Try Tucows, they always have lots of ones you can DL.

Different standards/compression type WinZip does not support RAR.

Of course not. What were you thinking

rar has it's origins in unix/linux, and Bill Gates is still ignoring that. Anything that would also help linux or any of it's parts become more popular won't make it into a Microsoft platform.
