Re-Install Issue

I got problem while trying to reinstall HOI Platinum. When playing HOI I got the problem that my scenarios wouldn't load (made some modifications without backing up). so I decided to uninstall HOI but the folder and all the files remained, even tried re-installing with the original file there but no changes were made. So I took the liberty to delete the folder myself, but I found out that I now can't re-install it because when I enter the disc, the only options available are Play and uninstall. And when I press uninstall nothing really changes... So can someone tell me what I have to do to install my copy of HOI without much problems... BTW I'm running Windows 98 Sorry If this quetion has been asked before, or if it has a really simple solution I didn' come up with... Thanks in advance.
