Time to Switch Battletech out of the "Upcoming Games" in the forums.......We're confirmed now......
Sure you can pre download it...but it takes hours to unpack it. My time remaining for unpacking is currently more than a year.
About 15 minutes and counting for me until auto-updates completes. Good Luck to all and have a Battlerific day LOL LOL

It was always takes me about the same time to download as it does to decrypt so I usually never preload. It's like 20m vs 15m.
I am quite understandably still "Unpacking" all the great Big and Stompiness that will be entertaining me for months and months and years to come/

see...i am a cheap arse basterd and i NEVER pay full retail for a game or pre order anything
but i have been playing battletech since it was battledroids and i believe in what they are doing at HBS so that i backed the game 2 years ago....
i not angry so much as frustrated like a kid on xmas day being told he has to wait unitl the relative arrive before opening gifts....arrrgh!!

After a journey of at least 10 years around the deathpit of overpriced empty shells of so called "AAA - games" the one and only thing i wished the most is finally here. *taking a deep breath*
I want to thank all HBS staff, @HBS_HighCommand and all the backers for making their and my dream come true!
Thank you for your time and effort, the hope of building something great and the staying power against the stream of EA/UBI/[insert name of ripoff company here] releases and bring the one and only thing we ever wanted!
If you've read the "over 40 yo thread" you get a picture on "how the fucking time" it was to make such gem for the battletech community... and i think i'm not the only one here who thinks this way.
Nevertheless let this become a great success!
For the youth to realize what we adults understand about "a good game".
For us adults to dive into memorys of joy and frustration.
And of course success for HBS
