I've got his issue where one of my fusion reactors is never maintained until it fails and stops producing power, which causes quite a shock to my grid. Plus it always seems to take ages to get fixed after failing, putting further unnecessary strain on the system.
  • It's covered by three drone hubs, all with Low load and usually always with 30-40 idle drones sitting around (as it's near my rocket loading zone).
  • It's right next to an electronics depot that's kept stocked with enough parts for the maintenance.
  • Its priority is set to 'High', and it's the only building in that area with High priority.
  • I found a 'request maintenance' mod and downloaded that (the game is otherwise unmodded), and if I catch it in time that works - but as soon as it breaks down the button is greyed out because (I presume) the request is already queued.
It's not hard for drones to reach or anything - it's only a couple of hexes from the nearest of the three hubs and drones often idle right next to it. And it's not like it's only happening when a rocket lands and the drones are busy - there are enough drones that even when a rocket does come in there are still a few left idle. When it does break I have to sit there and watch 30 drones sit around doing nothing despite the parts and the reactor being right next to them.

Any ideas? :(

Oh, that was just a mental typo. It's right next to an electronics depot, and I'm sure it's the right kind because I watch the drones picking the parts up and going to the reactor to service it - just after an agonisingly long wait.

It's an issue which is being replicated through other parts of my colony too and I don't know why. Buildings are breaking down instead of being maintained in time despite ample resources and free drones.

While tedious, you can select a Drone and pick up the needed repair material and tell them to FIX the unit for one units worth of repair. Pretty sure anyways...
