Giving it my third go around beginner run as Rome. Really fun changing what I'm doing with what I've learned so far to improve my game each time. Even though I feel like I've got a handle on things the game still feels like it has a lot to offer and can't wait to dig into it. The game is really well designed as well and even losing a war doesn't feel terribly awful. Got it during the PDXCon sale and even just playing it over the weekend I've already feel like I've gotten my monies worth. Hopefully Paradox will continue development of the game but either way, really enjoying it.

Great to hear, Imperator is more than just a diamond in the rough - it's an entire oil deposit right under the house.

Meme aside I think there is no reason for I:R 3. Just continue the development of I:R. The game has a solid base (good mechanisms) and the best PDX map by far!

Well I mean Imperator 3.0 is Imperator 1, thats why I spam this and not Imperator 2. I also want to see more content for Imperator.

I myself have taken the plunge and will be starting Imperator for the very first time soon, when I get time. Bought it and surviving mars on sale :)
Looking forward to it.

I was thinking of playing a long game of Imperator again, even though it still has bugs and problems. Surviving Mars was also on my radar for quite a while now but I'm still salty at Paradox so not going to buy anything anytime soon.
 
Can anyone recommend a really good you tube tutorial ( or similar ) for IR ?
 
Did some more Punic Wars today and I have to say, that a game is still engaging and fun when you have a war that isn't going your way without being utterly frustrating is the sign of good game design.
