The Beyond Earth mystery is both much harder than it should be for an easy mystery and incredibly unsatisfying. It requires that you throw away enough resources to build another two or three colonies (Minimum of 120 polymers and 440 electronics OR 120 electronics and 440 polymers OR 320 each of polymers and electronics) while the only required interactions are landing between 12 and 15 rockets and potentially researching the Beyond Earth Initiative tech a few times. Furthermore, there is basically no story to contribute to make up for the lack of meaningful interaction. Finally, the rewards that it gives are so poor that the event chain wouldn't be worth finishing were this a normal event chain.
In order to make this mystery worth it, the amount of resources required needs to go down, and the rewards need to increase. Simply adding a breakthrough or wonder tech after the mystery ends would make the rewards on par with the rest of the "Easy" mysteries. Halving, or even reducing to a third, the resource requirements, but requiring all four projects to finish would also reduce the risk of the mystery killing your colony.
To make the story more interesting, the supply rockets can be replaced with planetary projects, with all four available projects available at one time. Alternatively, the projects could be represented as locations that asteroid landers can travel to, with the requirements shifting from supplying resources to supplying manpower and labor to build up the projects on site, with the resources already provided. That would also help move Below and Beyond content more into general gameplay.
