I think from the title you could guess what this thread is all about.

I am having a rather fruitful Prussian game at the moment, Im playing on normal Vicky and I am gaining massive amounts of money through trade which I think ive almost mastered. Everything is relatively good with the exception of a war that has just started against Denmark.

But the problem im having is with Rebels, They pop up everywhere and they are relentless, Sure I can deal with them, buts its frustrating and im having to put valuable regiments into combat with these rebels all over Prussia when they should be at the Danish front. Why are they coming? The tax rates are quite low, way lower then ive ever had them. Is there any specific reason they are continually popping up? Not only that but smaller countries have been having trouble with Rebels, as well as Austria.. which somehow had half its nation taken by Rebels, they are more Rebel then Government controlled by this point.

What is going on?

IIRC, the Danish war starts right around when the Liberal Revolution starts, so that may be why there are a ton of revolts. Plurality (which is increased by VIP's Liberal Revolution event) as a whole increases annual militancy when you're a monarchy.

I'd advise you to wait out the revolts till the LR ends and till 1852, so you can switch to a con. monarchy (plurality has no effect) or democracy (plurality lowers militancy), since Austria and Prussia receive nasty Counterrevolution events if you do it earlier. I'll leave this to the veterans to make sure though. :eek:o

Constitutional Monarchies allow you to change the ruling party for a militancy hit and Democracies get a militancy reduction from plurality. Both have its uses, but ConMon is probably better, if you're still a new player. They're also slightly better when you play Victoria: Revolutions as you can control your factory building to a much greater degree by switching to the appropriate party as needed.
