I'm not yet completely decided, but I might want to join you.

Though my time is not so free, I'd be able to play Sundays, maybe Thursday too.

I'd like to play Germany too, but I'm fine with any other country. I have most experience (SP) with Germans, some with US, little bit SU, not much Italy and no Japan. Also bit MP exp with UK (one ongoing game) + SP.

My preference: ITA, SU, FRA, USA, JAP, UK

Also, I'm curious how would 36 scenario do in MP. Since everybody know there will be war, it can be quite unballanced. I'd suggest some rules about alliances, but would also encourage ahistorical (or call it free) play, so it donesn't need to end up as usual. Rather, I'd prefer some later scenario if we want to play historically (in general). 39 or 41. just MHO

:)

You are welcome to join.

Yeah free game would be good.

Please give more details

Welcome to HOI and MP.

IMO in order to advertise your game you would need to tell what rules you like to enforce (whatever no homerules means ?) especially about tech sharing.

Also, you going to have a hard time finding enough people to get a good game if you aren't more precise on dates and times. My suggestion would be for you to state that this will be a twice (replace with appropriate number) a week game taking place always on the same day(s) of the week at about the same time. Otherwise, you'll keep having to find subs and the game is soon to go astray. If you are not sure you won't be able to play on a certain day don't advertise it.

Since it sounds like you are looking forward to a regular game, it would make sense for you to work things out with your girlfriend. (Leaving game after 45mn as you were playing Germany because of a date wasn't especially nice to others. )
I, and most of us, know that sometimes unexpected things come up, but you can plan as to avoid most of those.
You want reliable people, be reliable yourself to begin with!

Since you seem quite new to HOI MP you should be aware that this is a rather small community, thus you get to recognize the regulars quickly, just like they will get to know you quickly too, and I'm sure you wouldn't want to be known as the all time quitter.

Last, for you and for those that have taken their time to read, let me finish by advertising your connection, prolly the best around nowadays. :D

I'd like to join in. Weekday and sunday evenings after 7pm ( except wednesday ) are all fine by me.
I would like to play Japan.
Feel free to mail me.

I'd also like to test this new internet connection I got. Now without a firewall. :)

But you can also guess what I am.. that's right, a n00b. I'm also largely available, since I'm making my pro gradu.

Thanks for advice, Wishing_Well.

1. Rules
a) No attacking through neutrals
b) Only ally tech sharing.
c) Improving advancements in provinces just after you have captured it, especially if you re sure that you will lose it, is forbidden. (It is really fouly to captrure eg. Hamburg with marine attack, order the improvement of infrastructure and then run away.)
2. Time
It would be great to have a two times a week game, but we can have at least a game each Sunday. Around 14.00 GMT would be great.

I will plan my timetable so that nothing will disturb gaming.

No homerules means that we are playing normal 1.06c HoI without any other additions.

3. Improving advancements in provinces just after you have captured it, especially if you re sure that you will lose it, is forbidden.

Some suggestions
To improve marketing value of this campaign, we should name it. Once we know what is it exactly going to be.

For now, I suggest name "Time of Troubles", "Allies and Enemies" or "Shadows over World"

Once we have a name, we may start new thread under that name.

A walk in hell?

I wanted japan :( but someone took here so i'll take USA
I don't think countries are finally assigned. :) We just need to agree on such player/country assignment, that make everybody satisfied most possible way.

"A walk to hell'? What about "From Hell to Heaven" :D

Well, since I'm a noob it'll be hell for me. You picked all the good ones already. I guess I'll have to be UK then but it'll stretch my already nonexistent skills at multitasking.

Plus I don't know if I can make it, if you start next sunday at 2 pm GMT, as on Saturday I have to go see my friends band perform far far away in southern Finland. The drive is 400 km but I might make it later in the evening.

Nothing is definitive yet, so dot worry :) If you prefer Italy, I'm not sticked to it so much ;)

If we start right this Sunday, I might have problems with it, since I'm away too. Althought I'm only 200km away :) But maybe I'll be back in time...really not sure. In this case, we can move start of Saturday session to later time, 16 or 17 gmt. If that fits others...

Homerules usually refer to, well, rules. :D What you're calling homerules is more "preset" or "setup".

Maybe he confused it with "houserules".
