The events related to discovery are currently so frequent that you will likely see the same events every half hour. It gets old pretty quickly.
I have only played two games so far, but I cannot even remotely remember how many times I answered the same question about the Oort Cloud, a potential new habitable planet, black holes etc.

Perhaps the pop-ups with reward decision could largely be replaced by random rewards that do not require player input?
E.g.
"A new star has been discovered. +2500 research"
"A new planet has been discovered. +500M Funds"
