Quick question, but when you reform the Valyrian faith, are you supposed to lose the bonus to Dragon taming and hatching? and are there no crowns for temporal/god-emperor rulers? Just making sure before I continue my New Valyria Run.

Also... Could someone succinctly explain how some of the new doctrine types work? like how cut-throat, the valyrian blood-magic, and the god-emperor mechanics work?

Blood magic, valyrian or otherwise, is a combination of R'hllor healing mechanics and satanic cult powers. Curiously, making people obey my whims made me 'suspicious', as if it was not public knowledge I was sacrificing people to the Lady of the Waves for magic power.

God-emperorship sadly does not work. Handing out lands breaks the custom title. A vanilla bug as far as I am aware. Best just take temporal. The small modifier should not be critical.

Alright, excellent. Thank you for responding!

glad someone else noticed the Valyrians losing dragon bonus's too upon reform
Oh good I'm not the only one. I'm pretty sure its just an oversight, but not one I know how to fix. Also, have you noticed the pre-reform religions using the faith of the seven star as their symbol?

Valyrians losing dragon bonuses might stem from a vanilla problem with the way that reformation doctrines add character modifiers. I'm under the impression that they overwrite one another. "Old" heresies use the seven star because no heresy icons are defined in the religion file. There also aren't any heresy icon graphics in the style of the vanilla game, though you could just make the heresies use the original icons.

I have not had issues running the nine doctrines variant off steam workshop. With a combo doctrine like The Old Way, you can make pretty capable religions... still no R'hllor resurrection equivalent as far as I can see though.

Unless you count the reformed religions lacking holy sites and therefore moral authority but, my immortal drowned king of destiny has so much diplomacy minor things like holy sites are a nonissue.

edit: And it seems the holy site issue is from holdings+ submod.
