WEll how do you you actually need ? let say for Germany 1? I understan in DH region is a group of provinces is it the same for ARMA IC I need like tons of regional hqs?

Well, check this thread out.

As Germany you'll need at least 3 of them, after your conquests you can move them around.
5 are enough for me, but if you're winning you can afford even 10 or more.

Click on "region" map mode to see which provices are covered.

When you select region you will see that at least in western europe a region is mostly a whole country. Put them on the borders so you can swap them around.

i know that germany is 1 region plus bits of other countries also come under the same region as germany due to the break up of Germany after WW1. But SU has loads of regions and r a lot smaller than those in europe. I think poland shares 1 of its regions with Germany and 1 with SU. Same with the Balkans. Some countries share regions Due to the remapping of europe after WW1 and new countries being formed out of the Central powers to break them up. That was the main cause of WW2. The countries wanted the territory back taken from them by force after WW1 at the insistance of france who refused to sign a peace treaty unless they got what they wanted. So technicly france started WW2 by insisting that the central powers get broken up. Just as france caused WW1 by assininating a prince from the Austro-Hungarian empire who at the time was allied with germany and the Ottoman empire. Together they were know as the central powers. Yugoslavia, Chechoslavia, Bulgaria and romania were all part of the Austro-Hungarian empire upto the end of WW1. france wanted to be the major power in the world and did everything they could to get other countries to start wars so they would have an excuse to go to war to get more territory. But they made sure that the other countries got the blame for starting the wars.

Interesting theory, never heard of it before. If this is the case then they sure got it right back in their face, lesson learned.
