I have now had the two separate instances of the rulers regnal number being counted incorrectly. In my first game as the Emperor of the Latin Emperor Baudouin I in 1204. In the end he was succeeded by his son and namesake. However he was counted as being Baudouin I too.
Another instance occurred in my game as a Scottish Duke. In the end I managed to take the throne as Malcolm IV. However when two generations later another Malcolm of my dynasty he was listed as Malcolm I. I have the feeling that somewhat when a name is first used by a player the numbering is reset to zero. Any ideas what might be the cause of this?
