Reinstall EU2 and patch to 1.09 now no scenarios?

I installed EU2. Ran fine.

I installed the 1.09 patch. Game starts, reports in the upper left corner that it is 1.09 - but when I select singleplayer game there are no scenarios listed in the dialog box.

I know I've not had this problem before, but I cannot figure out what I did wrong. The patch asked me to find the directory, and I pointed it to the c:\program files\strategy first\eu2 directory.

Anyone have any ideas before I uninstall and try again?

Are you on Vista? It redirect writes to c:\program files elsewhere; if to I'd recommend you uninstall and reinstall to a different place, such as c:\games\eu2 or whatever.

Nope. I/m running WinXP SP2, which is what I was running the last time I installed this game. For the life of me, I can't figure out what is different this time around.
