You can release a nation by event by using the "type = independence which = XXX" command, which will create it as a vassal.

What are the countrys in question here? Do you want the new country to go to war with the old one when it forms?

Hi, I'am wondering if I can release a new nation by a event that will give half of the amount of provinces to the new nation. Or most I make an event that creates rebels and wait until the new nation becomes created?

I don't really like to create rebels. :(
You need to do two events, one to release a new nation and one, triggered by the first, to cede the provinces you want. The new nation can also have an event, triggered by the first or the latter one, to break the vassalization with the first country.

Sorry, I seldom look at this sub-forum and I have thought you need to better understand the mechanism of events, triggers, commands...

I can tell you more: if you want your released country being still in your alliance even if she breaks her vassalage, you could add the alliance command in the second event with which you secede the provinces. As you can now imagine if the country si to be released other commands referred to her except the independence command won't work in the same event, so you need to create another event to be triggered or with its own date but chacking in the trigger if the first event has fired.

I have been testing these events since a couple of months in order to have more historical alliances and so historical wars in the last part of the game such as the wars of successions and such...
