This is a custom map I created based on the historic town of Harpers Ferry, West Virginia. It's actually located where Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia meet. It also is where the mighty Potomac and Shenandoah rivers collide and merge into one. I have used the rivers as the central element to the map, as you will start where the actual town of Harpers Ferry is located, in between the meeting place of the two rivers. This starting area is a bit more cramped than the rest of the map, so you are encouraged to grow in any direction you'd like. Highway and rail connections were roughly based on actual layouts (with some modifications done to make it easier to play on). The map has a varied landscape from hills and mountains, to wide flat areas of land. Resources are readily available but thoughtfully placed, find raw ore in hill and mountain areas, fertile land in plains, patches of dense forest clustered throughout.
