Ultimate Area Fillers V2 is a collection of custom plop anywhere assets to use as area fillers / park designs / agricultural areas etc.

Although previously released on the workshop, I have just released updated versions of all assets in the collection to make them much more useable than the previous version and included a few more options (assets).. so now feel that it's worthy of posting here.

  • No more making handfuls of custom parks for your rural areas / farm fields and struggling to find them in your parks menu, of course.. you can if you want...
  • Get creative, create some awesome central parks / plaza areas of any size (i would love to see some screenshots)
  • Fill in those cracks between buildings - hmm there's a lot of those maybe not all of them. :D

The assets appear under the water category and have zero stats / requirements throughout aside from a cost to build of €25

They are extremely flexible, plop almost anywhere and with V2, they now have proper outlines so you can align them much easier. A few extras have also been included such as ploppable parking spots / billboards and decorative tiles.
There is also a round version of the 1x1 tiles which although actually square, allow more of an overlap than those with the square outline for tighter spots.

Enjoy!

A short video (no voice over) of the assets in action.

I <3 Cities Skylines.

how did you manage that they show preview icons? I just can't get them to work for my assets...

In the import folder add an image of 109px wide by x 100px height matching the name of your model, but with a _thumb suffix.

i.e
MyAwesomeModel.fbx
MyAwesomeModel_thumb.png

Thanks, but does this also work with .crp-files?
like putting a file myasset.crp in the folder and also a file myasset_thumb.png?

I guess you didn't have an fbx file either for these area fillers, right?

I did actually use an fbx file, thats why I was able to make it with the icons and under the water category rather than a park. I really couldn't face having to spend an hour looking for each one in the parks menu with a generic white icon ;)

At the moment, I don't think you can add an icon unless you are importing a model.

Oh...but your brushes are ingame models...how did you get them out of the game? Is there a way to export them?

Nice work.

I can not get this to work either, maybe something else is different in setting how its saved.
It could be the version I am running compared to you as well. Game says I am running 1.0.6b but steam says I am running 1.0.7b.

Edit: I am a morron I didn't save the thumb in the import folder lol. Working now.
