I released a modular castle set. Can find it by "Daimond" or as the collection "Modular Castle"

Found under the Electrical tab.
It requires to be placed along a road. But you can delete the roads after or during construction. Reasons for using road placement, is snap reasons. Due to not using snap along roads, I found it too problematic placing of items, and time consuming.

For best effect, place on flat ground, as Walls and parts my line up wrong. E.g. wall sections may have stepping effect to one another.

I may create video later. But don't hold me to that :)

I saw this today on the workshop, I have it bookmarked to subscribe later to check out how well it works. I used this other guys walls once but they were huge and would have little gaps at the bottom of the walls on hills... No offense to the other guy, but this looks waaay more ready for the game with it being smaller modular pieces to avoid the gap issues, I'm looking forward to using this. Thanks for an Ace job! :)

Also, that was very smart of you to make it snap to roads first, then delete them afterwards because that was one of the issues I had with the other walls.. It was super time consuming and you had to line everything up manually to try and get things perfect.

Ya this one on hills you can see a concrete base if on too great of an angle. Best on flat ground for uniform look on the walls, to not cause a stepping look, but you can experiment :)

But there are no gaps in walls or connections, every thing down to pixels in touching, made sure of that. There is no gaps and they don't over lap to create artifacting either. The only parts that can over lap is the "Wall to Tower" parts as they meant to do so to similar objects, currently only towers and tower arches. Also since the Arches are only there on 1 side you can tend to overlap a tower on a tower, then you get a funny flickering :)

This looks awesome! might go a along way to creating an old town or historical district.

Are the tops of the walls pedestrian paths? :p

No there not. :(

But I thought of some possibilities, cause a friends kid asked if people could walk on it late last week. It dawned on me it might be possible, and was my next attempt. That version would really require flat ground to work though.

That would be sick

Well just ran some quick tests.... And definitely works :) I just have to change the models around, slightly.

I will put this set out as a separate, modular set. It will look vary similar, but wont be compatible with current, height and sizes. But can use together, just will have to transition with towers or some new transition parts.

I will start releasing with in next few days. I will start with new road crossings, to create pedestrian over passes. Then move on to rest of set.

Correction, due to most the model not being there, to cross roads. Even though it removes buildings and shows as though it is, even when bulldozing. People wont use it, as game I guess don't read it there. I created one model with over pass built in, no one used it. Created identical pedestrian path right in front of it, and they used it.

I will have to re-think or go back to drawing board on the pedestrian over passes, but rest should work.

I suppose really what you're doing if you're making them walkable is you're just making a new road model.

I wonder if how the mod that made pedestrian paths into roads for service vehicles may shed light on how to make paths themselves.

Ok, been running more tests after had a thought of as to the problems getting this to work. It looks like solved all the problems I could see, so far :) Might be one I can think of if placed on uneven ground, and would not look good at all anyway.

But its will take some time, as have to re-work all the models to fit paths. It will not be just drop and go either, you will have to make the final connections of paths per section placed, just no avoiding that :(

But got fully working road crossings with people using them, and paths across the city right now. Some parts of the new models will work in this set, but wall heights will be different and width, and towers will be larger, to compensate and a new tower model to boot. I will add to new and old as well. I will be updating current towers, and a few other things, to go more with current look, such as doors. As I can not predict what sides of the tower you will use, I got an idea to fix that though.

No not a new road model, just encasing the current concrete paths. As the easy thing to do, and know will work for every one, not counting mine or some ones code working for a few or all. I try my best to keep models as lo-poly as possible, and as simple as possible. As the old saying K.I.S.S ( keep it simple stupid ) :)

But since you brought that service vehicle up..... would be funny as hell watching one take the top of the wall to go rescue people :) lol

Well added a new 45 deg corner to the set. Also found as a Collection.

As for the working pedestrian walk ways, I can not get the ramps to work right. Currently can not have them enclosed for them too use, but rest seem fine.
I have took a break from modeling this weekend mostly, and maybe next few days.
Need to play the game at some point :) Not to mention, RL has got in the way a bit lol.
