hello everyone,

i want to suggest to remove the current way climate types on plantes (dry for energy, frozen for minerals, wet for food) give more districts in the respective resource. i would like to play on ocean worlds only, just for personal enjoyment, yet since i got to know that dry worlds offer way more energy districts in general, i feel "bad" for choosing anything else. im not an expert in any way, yet the call for min-maxing is strong in me and i cant resist sacrificing my beloved oceans to gain even more lovely credits and the superior economy.

how do you feel about the current system? do you enjoy it? would you like to see anything else?

have a lovely day folks <3

Ocean habitability already gets you all the best basic resources thanks to the +% from the Aquatic trait, which nobody else gets, and you get 100% habitability on your first two expansions (instead of 80%) for another +% productivity and lower upkeep.

No, climates should be more distinct, not less distinct, and you are already getting a better deal on basic stuff than anyone else gets.

i can see your point, yet i dont want to go with aquatic every game just to play like the meta tells me to. there are way more worthwhile traits and civics i would like to use as well. i also like continental and tropical planets too, which wouldnt work with aquatic either.

shouldnt we at least get a chance to adapt the planets with a new terraforming tech for example? i wouldnt mind shaping my planets the way i need them and paying some energy credits for it.
