Rename AVI did not help

As mentioned, renaming avi to avi_back o else did not help me.

Running 1.05c XP

That's quite strange, as some week ago it worked fine, then I didn't play for some time, and now: this!

Any suggestion, please?

Some times you need to reboot the system, Have you rebooted after renaming the folder?

Ok, I managed it out.

It was a matter of monitor refresh rate...
Last week I installed the NV Refresh Toll to help the supernatural Windows Xp and my video card set the correct refresh rate for many games in whick this did not happen (Civ3, Combat Mission and so on (err... is it against some forum rule to mention other games ? HOI is the best!!!)), but i set the correct refresh rate only for 1024x768.
As I'm running HOI in 800x600 I had only to set the correct Refresh Rate for that resolution.
Here I have now my old dear HOI, with video and all...

I'm writing this just in case someone else have this problem, with the ERROR message I wrote in my 1st post.

Maybe the title of this thread should be renamed to "refresh issues" or something similar.

Better to leave it with the error message, for instance you would not have known to look for Refresh rate threads.
