I hope that this feature will survive into EUIV and we will still be able to rename province capitals and provinces unlike in EU:Rome, HoI3, V2.

EDIT: Removed CK2 frome the list, you can rename provinces.

Indeed I hope so as well, it's pretty annoying having to go edit your save file in V2 just to change the name of a city or province. And honestly I'm pretty sure it will stick around, it's in the latest version of EU3 and I don't see why they would want to remove the feature in EU4.
