Repeated Crashes : Win Xp - Assistance Sort

New comer to Iron.
Semi skilled at windows XP.

Athlon 2200. Xp Pro. 512mb. 240gb hard drives. Norton Firewall. Mcfree Antivirus.

System clean - fully defrag.



Playing as USA.

Using UK update 1.03.

I load - I play - it crashes me out to desktop with no warning.

Game date 1944 November.

Crashing has become more and more regualar. Game crashes every 15 to 45 mins real time. Have taken to quick saving every 12hrs internal game time.

Game save files circa 6.2mb in size.

Reinstalled Iron and patch - but to no avail.

Germany over ran mainland europe and russia - by 1942. Russian remnants become neutral
Afgan/Argentine/spain/finland/portulga all joined axis.


1943. Sweden joined axis after Uk invasion. Managed to halt this and drive axis out. Cleansed Africa and removed Argentine from axis [now usa puppet]. Focused on Attacking Japan. India overrun by Afgans

1944. USA overruns and annexs Japan/China/korean/Manuchuria elements. USA overruns all islands in Atlantic /African Coast/Medit.
India retaken from axis. Afganistan now down to 4 provinces.

All russian/german borders have +10 troops in. All german coastly regions have +7-+12 units in.

Greece has 37+ bombers in one province.

USA convoys. +500 [+40 convoys] ships in use taking steel back to USA from Japan/china/Tawain


USA fleets
+40 subs +60other [I now its too much NOW.. didnt at the time].

USA Tech.
Almost everything nukes to computers to 150mm tanks and jets

Sounds like the USA election bug to me.

You can find a work around in the bug forum sticky thread labeled "do it yourself bug fixes" one of the last pages.

Also you mention you are on 1.03, while the latest patch is 1.03b.

Or you could just wait for 1.04 comes out which should be soon.
