And at this point the male line is gone. In previous discussions, I suggested an event might give them the option of becoming part of Scotland or continuing with the monarchs below. Haven't really been following developments in v2, so whether this would still be feasible or not I don't know...

Here are the "non-historical" monarchs. They are successors but after Elizabeth not actually from the Percy family:
Code:
historicalmonarch = {
	id = { type = 6 id = ???? }
	name = "Elizabeth I"
	startdate = {
		day = 21
		month = may
		year = 1670
	}
	enddate = {
		day = 23
		month = november
		year = 1722
	}
	DIP = 6
	ADM = 6
	MIL = 5
	dormant = no
}
historicalmonarch = {
	id = { type = 6 id = ???? }
	name = "Elizabeth II"
	startdate = {
		day = 23
		month = november
		year = 1722
	}
	enddate = {
		day = 5
		month = december
		year = 1776
	}
	DIP = 7
	ADM = 5
	MIL = 3
	dormant = no
}
historicalmonarch = {
	id = { type = 6 id = ???? }
	name = "Hugh I"
	startdate = {
		day = 5
		month = december
		year = 1776
	}
	enddate = {
		day = 10
		month = july
		year = 1817
	}
	DIP = 5
	ADM = 4
	MIL = 6
	dormant = no
}
historicalmonarch = {
	id = { type = 6 id = ???? }
	name = "Hugh II"
	startdate = {
		day = 10
		month = july
		year = 1817
	}
	enddate = {
		day = 11
		month = february
		year = 1847
	}
	DIP = 5
	ADM = 6
	MIL = 5
	dormant = no
}

Impaler,

Thank you. I will include these in the monarchs.yor file for Beta 6.

Any interest in crafting some events?

MattyG

The Impaler,

Glad to have you aboard for some material contribution to Aberration.

There is a bit of a vision already in place that I would like to share with you, and I am sorry it has taken this long to reply, I get very little intetrnet time at present. There are two compnents:

1. Shared history with Wessex

Dr Bob and I are working on Wessex. I want the storylines of Wessex and York to be intertwined, especially in terms of getting leaders. It needs to be a highlander situation, with the last one standing reaping the full crop, which will include the greats such as Malborough, Wellesley and Nelson.

2. Minors Become Majors

I am setting a sort of 5-Province threashold for minor provinces to become majors and inherit the kinds of quality leadership, expolorers and better events that befits a major. More on this latter. 10 seconds left of mine time .....

Gotta run, more later.

:wacko:

Well I am ready to try to create some joint events with Wessex and York, although for either one to actually be any sort of power the other one must die, which I think you agree with by your highlander analogy.

Still some events can be imagined, perhaps the two agreeing to an alliance to rule england together, with vassalisation and annexation by the player nation somewhere down the road.

btw matty got any feedback on the existing wessex events? :)

Actually, I've been working on those files quite a bit. 100% of my current time, which is very little, as my computer is in the fix-it shop and I get the odd half hour on my mother-in-laws. But made a lot of progress, and I'm here today to upload some material for Impaler. I will also upload what I have done so far for you, although I have still not looked yet properly at the events following the annexation of the Dutch provinces, just up to that point, nor the Explorer/Conquistador triggering events, nor any AIs.

You'll find the stuff there in that same thread you posted your material in about 10 minutes.

Scratch that, this Library internet won't allow me to access my data stick, so no upload for me. I'll try and find an internet cafe nearby ... :mad:

Is the idea that either one or the other will eventually re-create England, or that both of them will probably be diplo-annexed by Brittany and Scotland?

Dr Bob and I thought that we would avoid re-creating England. We've done that with France, and sort-of with Portugal, and there will be a Kingdom of Italy event cycle, one day. We thought that we could just leave them as Wessex and York, which have their own histories and the flavour felt right.

However, they will have overlapping leaders that they vie for which represents their struggle for the English heritage and I have the core meterial for this ready to send for you when I get to the same internet cafe ...

Its a bit annoying to have it named France?seems rather vanilla, better yet name it Gual.

The Impaler said:
"Gaul" is a very much obsolete name - like calling Hungary Iazygia or Iraq Babylonia... "Francia" perhaps if something different is needed.

I wouldnt mind calling it Firnaja, or Francia, whatever :p

France seems too Vanillish for me.

Same thing with portugal really...

France is the name of the nation that can be reformed by Bourbonnais etc and which in the Aberration history crumbled apart in about 1390, a very recent event and so quite appropriate.

I use Gaul to indicate the region we call France today only so that people knew the part of Europe I was referring to, rather than confusing this with France the reformable nation. I don't mean to use Gaul to indicate a country, just an area, like Italy or British Isles or Iberian Peninsula.

Okay, makes sense I guess - though Im intrested to see if the Cordoban invasion of Firanja will be developed, perhaps a new battle of Tours?

What was the old battle of Tours?

And yes, we are committed to completing the Infidel King storyline, but with your ending, the creation of a Cordoban-supported Occitan Protestant state called ..... FIRANJA!!!!

Well Firanja means Frankish lands in Arabic, dont you think the Sultan can call his vassals anything he likes? :p

Well, yes, but they may call themselves something else. Remember, we call Germany 'Germany', the French call it Allemagne and the Germans call it Deutschland.

By the way, Theres something I cant understand in the game, regarding Sevilla, the revolter from Cordoba.Historically, the ibadid dynasty was slaughtered and exiled by the Almohads, now however, the Wolf King's dynasty in Valencia and Murcia survived - wouldnt it make sense if rather than having the revolter in Seville and make it in the east?It lets Cordoba keep Seville (an important province) and also keeps the same structure.

Clear thinking. It also means that all those explorers etc who arrive in the Seville province won't have to relocate.

Which provinces do you suggest???
