Short summary of your issue
Game CTD anywhere between 5 - 10 minutes into playing game.

Game Version
1.1.2

What OS are you playing on?
Windows 10

Do you have mods enabled?
No

Have you tried verifying your game files?
Yes, verified files. Uninstalled, deleted Victoria 3 folder in documents, reinstalled, issue continued.
Turned off Cloud Auto save for the game as well to see if that would fix issue as well.
Ran exe as administrator.

How much "pain" is this causing you?
10 - Inability to play game for the most part.

Please explain the issue you experienced in the most condensed way possible
Unhandled Exception C0000005 (Exception_Access_Violation) upon playing the game for a few minutes.

Please explain how to reproduce the issue
Play Game for 5 to 10 minutes.

Is there anything else you think could help us identify/replicate the issue?
Imagine it is my system side, but unknown how to fix. Recently upgraded GPU and reinstalled operating system. Ran prior to system upgrade, runs very well now, except the CTD errors.

I have attached a save game

I think so.

Upload Attachment
Attached a couple of crash files as well. Numbered to keep them separate. Save file relates to Set#2.

You've attached a save here - is that because it only happens in that one campaign?

If so are there any mods involved?

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Vic3/pdx_settings.json .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Vic3/logs/ folder, attach here system.log

No, it has happened in multiple campaigns. I have tried french and prussia. I also just tried CK3 and am also encountering the same error.
Attached is the DXDiag, and the pdxsettings. There does not appear to be anything in system.log.

No mods on either game. Victoria 3 was fresh install and never had any mods activated on the game anyways. CK3 has mods installed, but none were activated and this was a fresh install as well. I only added save file as it looked like there was a general checklist being made in other posts so I went with how their format was.

I see crashes in ck3.exe and SteamHelper.exe in that dxdiag, but none in Victoria3.

Right click on ck3.exe , properties, compatibility. Tick "disable fullScreen optimisations" untick every other box in that dialog, Apply and exit.
Then in the launcher Game Settings menu, select fullScreen display mode, Vsync off, refresh rate 60.

Is that any different?

If not, please install and run the free utility Speccy. Send its output to a test file and attach that here, thanks.

Did those, still encountered another crash. Attaching another dxdiag ran right after crash and Speccy output.

Some Windows updates "In Progress" there. If you run the Update utility in Windows does it find anything to do? If so apply it, then either way reboot.

Disable the Discord overlay, I've seen that cause issues sometimes.

And unload Nahimic, or prevent it running at boot time then reboot. Same with MSIAfterburner.exe .

I see OneDrive is running; is your Windows User Documents folder on there, or on the local disk?

I hope one of those does it for you!
