Higher Resolution do not realy work with the games due to a small UI scaling.
Is there a chance you will fix that with the new DLC? Or do I miss something to scale the UI?

This game is over 6 years old so from before such resolutions existed. It has no UI or font scaling, and I rather doubt they will rewrite the game to the extent necessary to add that in this late stag ein the game's life.

You can reduce the game's resolution to say 1920x1080. And you can use the Better Readable Fonts mod , which is quite good.

All the best!

Actually, Andrew, it is impossible to change the resolution of the game while in game. The option is greyed out, cannot be selected. The only solution I have found in the Hi-Res world is to reduce my screen resolution in Windows before I launch CK2. With that done, the next problem is that the in-game cursor is enormous, covering parts of the mouseover text.

The game might be six years old - but plenty of DLC has been added over the years, and more is yet in the pipeline. It seems to me that it would be well worth it, from a market standpoint, to enable CK2 to fit into the high res screen world. My guess is that probably 50% of the user base, and a substantial number of people who've never played the game (because they're just coming into the market) will be much more interested in purchasing the game and DLC if it scaled in the increasingly predominant hi-res market segment.

Change the Window Mode to anything else than Borderless, then you can change the resolution,
change Window Mode back again if you want, quit and restart for it to take effect.
Maybe try to play in fullscreen mode at first ? Just a thought.

If the cursor is enourmous it migh thelp to go into the properties/compatibility of ck2game.exe and check or uncheck "Disable fullscreen optimisation".
The latter is a guess.

Just my 2cents.

Resolution can also be changed by directly editing settings.txt . Any resolution listed at the end of the system.log file should work.

DLCs do not involve a substantial rewrite of the UI for the whole game, as adding scalable fonts and other UI elements would entail. I'm not saying it won't be done - I have no idea - I just suspect it's unlikely.
