ISSUE:
I was intending to start a co-op save with a friend of mine, but I've been unable to login to my paradox account in-game when prompted. My steam and paradox accounts are linked, and I've tried disabling my firewalls as directed by other threads, to no avail. Sometimes, the login prompt will recognize an incorrect password, but most of the time it will timeout with no further messages. I'm also able to login to the launcher without issue.

FIX:
Disable IPv6 on the adapter you're using and disable all other network adapters. Instructions are in post #6!

When you hit PLAY in Steam you get a mini-menu offering standard play (which includes MP via the Steam servers) or Cross-Store MP (which uses the external Nakama MP servers). Do you get this in both those options?

And, has this ever worked for you? Or always been like this?

I was never prompted to login without opening the game using cross-store MP, however I was unable to join or be joined by my friend. Cross-store mp is what I've been attempting to use, and it has been doing this since I first launched the game with it enabled. This is my first time attempting multiplayer.

If your friend is on Steam too, you can both opt out of cross-store MP so you use the Steam MP servers - does that help you?

As to the issue when you are using Nakama, We have three possible workarounds that may solve it:

Disable IPv6
- Close CK3
- Go to Control Panel > View Network status and tasks > Change adapter settings (left side)
- Find your Hamachi Connection and Disable it
- Find your Internet connection adapter (for me, it was WiFi)
- Right click your internet adapter and select properties
- Scroll down to find "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) and uncheck the box
- Select Ok
- Start up CK3 and should work.

Disable all other network adapters
  1. Go to Windows Control panel.
  2. Click on Network & Internet.
  3. Click on View Network Status.
Quick Tip: You can also quickly access these settings by right-clicking the network icon in the taskbar and selecting the Network & Internet settings option.
  4. Click on Change adapter options.
  5. Right-click all network adapters that are not connected to the internet and select the Disable option.

Use a VPN
- Obtain a VPN
- Set the country to the US (why this works is also an enigma ><)
- Start the game
- Sign in and see if it "sticks
"

Good luck!

Disabling IPv6 and extra network adapters seems to have done the trick. I'm no longer prompted with the login screen in-game after opening with cross-store MP, and I'm able to open the co-op/multiplayer menus without issues.

Thanks for the help!
