Well, it's no secret that the VIP:R mod was never completed. In consequence, the events of VIP:R 0.4 are petering out in the 1910s. Having more events for the late game would surely be nice, but the old terranova forum is long gone and there are not many sources for new events.

When the question came up for me if and how to extend events into the 1930s, where should I look (and borrow)? At first glance, the 1919 scenario project seems to be a good starting point.

So my question is, how many events are actually there and how good do they play out? Are there event chains or are these mostly flavour events?

I've only glanced over the TWEP files by now.

Most events can't be used since they are based on the historical 1918 situation and the end of the Great War. This isn't a great surprise since this is the 1919 scenario. Nonetheless I've seen some events for countries which haven't seen much love which might be re-used. There are very few TAGs which are not already included in VIP:R but might be worth including, e.g. additional revolters in China.

I've liked the idea of having events for all Noble prize winners, something which has been overlooked by VIP:R. These will be probably be included in a revised and toned down form.

OTOH there are a bunch of highly controversial events which surely won't be included.

Appreciate the effort! What do you mean by revised and toned down Nobel prizes?

TWEP gives in its 79 (+2) events +10 prestige for each nobel prize. VIPR has only 3 events (for DAN, NOR and SWE) which only give prestige +1.

Prestige +10 is simply too much. Although we might give minors +3, while the Great Powers will get +1.

The number of events will increase: 191 events awarding nobel prizes can be added to give more flavour to the late-game phase.
