Hello everyone, it's been quite a time since i posted here.

I have an idea to create an "Army customization" tab.
2 Tabs: Land Army Customization (Weapons, Armor, Tactical coaching of land army)
Naval Army customization (Type of canons, amount of canons, ship type, hull size, material type tactical coaching of naval army)
Every variable in the tab is upgraded by advance in military technologies, has it's effect on units, and has it's cost!

You save selection in templates, and use them, when creating regiments.
You can also download, and upload templates from forums (interaction and argument which set-up is most efficient).

Explanation:
With technologies you unlock certain weapons, every weapon has his own advantages and disadvantages, and every next level weapon is better than previous level weapon.
The fact, is that in Army customization tab, as a nation leader, you can choose which weapons you want your army to use, that best fit your needs.
Maybe you want very light weapons, to make your infantry more mobile, or you want to have long range rifles that will boost your defensive shock, or short rang "killers" that are good for attacking shock. (Don't know certainly how each weapon type will change certain attributes, that's for PDS to decide).

The difference between weapons will also concern prices. Armies with worse weapons will be cheaper, however if you rely on Quality, than quantity, you can also have the most expensive weapons for your Soldiers.

Apart from weapons, maybe armor will be customizable as well.
Some generals would prefer cheap, light armor giving maneuvering,
Others would like to pack their in heaviest and most expensive armor available.

The third, last tab, i think should be tactics.

As time goes by, new military tactics with military technologies are being unlocked.
And you, as a national leader have a choice which tactics you want your soldiers to know.

Maybe you want your army to know all up-to date tactics and spend a lot of money on recruiting units to train all of that to them.
Or you want to know only "most important" tactics to make your army cheaper.
Or you prefer to sit on the hills, or in the forests, waiting for your enemy to attack and learning only defensive tactics to cut costs.

I believe that these 3 "Army customization tabs" Would allow you, players to fully customize your army to your own needs and expenses. I think that this could be a great implementation which most of the public would like. Let make every army to look different from another.

Extra explanations:
IF u've played "Endless space" game, where you can create and fully customize your ships, i think it would be a bit similar to this.
When you choose which weapons, armor and tactics you want to have, you can save it as a template, so when you are about to raise some regiments, you choose which type of regiments you want to create.

Also, if there are some people that wouldn't like to bother with this feature. Let the players the possibility to Automatically create templates by AI via money budgets.

Example: Players says, i want every regiment to cost 15 coins, and the AI will automatically fit his army in price of 15 coins every time.

Moreover, i believe this feature should also be implemented for naval warfare, in order to be able to fully customize your ships. (Hull size, Wood material, Type of canons, number of canons and so on.)

I really think that the idea of customizing your naval and land armies will make PDS games much better.

P.S. Same feature can be applied to all PDS games, from CK2 to HoI. The ability to fully customize your army's weapons, armor and so on sounds great for me!

please comment on this, and if u liked the idea, force PDS to implement to it!

I want my own army with Blackjack and !@#$%^.

I am very sorry, but this is the feature that will work in all PDS grand strategy games, so i've decided to put it here.
It is not just EU4 feature, it is a feature for all upcoming, planned games.

Would certainly be interesting in EU series...

Would not fit HOI series / HOI already has a much more streamlined and functional version

I've always hoped for this kind of feature in strategy games, but it may be a bit to much work to balance for multiplayer. Don't forget that every good idea in one man's eyes is a horrible one in another's, and Paradox players are a very opinionated bunch. The current system of armies is pretty much just customizable enough to balance with relative ease.
