I've been playing as Eddard Stark for some while now, and just noticed that I had no firstborn son anymore! Somehow Robb changed his dynasty to Tully, and he is no longer my son (his characterpage only shows Catelyn as the mother, but he has no father). Is this some kind of mechanic or is it a bug? If relevant, Robert Baratheon just lost to a "Depose" faction (I sided with him), and his oldest living daughter (now empress) is bethrothed to Robb.

Maybe someone had the question legitimacy plot against him and it succeeded?

Kind of unlikely as I had cancel plots on autocancel, but I guess it's possible if it was someone from outside of the North. Oh well.

My custom character had a kid who was born with a different dynasty but still had my Targaryen white hair. Needless to say game over because I couldn't plot to kill him and I thought I would get a banish to Night's Watch event when I exiled him but that event didn't fire.

Was Catelyn a ruler by any chance? Also do you have a save from just before Robb was made a Tully?

It certainly sounds like the outcome of a successful Investigate Legitimacy plot, but for that to happen Ned would have had to be confronted with the evidence and decide to disinherit Robb himself, so unless Aztecopi is incredibly absent-minded, it can't be that.
