Confirmed Ruler character committed suicide, unable to continue playing as character's heir

Information I have verifed my game files (Steam only) Yes I have disabled all mods Yes I am running the latest game update Yes Required Summary Ruler character committed suicide, unable to continue playing as character's heir Description My ruler character chose the decision to commit suicide. In-game, this is the year 1149 starting from the 867 start date. I mention this only because it might be a later-game performance issue. The only DLCs I do not own (barring cosmetics) are Legends of the Dead and Khans of the Steppe I selected to continue playing the game as my character's heir, but unfortunately, I received a message that said "You can view, but not affect the game while the Succession window is open" I have no way to reopen the succession window as far as I'm aware When I checked the pause menu, it told me that the game was "Paused by Event: The Attempt" Steps to reproduce Chose decision for my character to commit suicide Selected my heir as normal Wait Game Version 1.16.2 Platform Windows Additional Information Affected Feature EventsGameplay Save Game Other Attachments
