Rules for the Golden AARdvark

Rules

1. Every player plays fourty years from 1492-1532. They all play the same country. They will use IGC 2.3 and patch 1.10. During the fourty years the player is allowed to whatever he chooses in the game, except cheat. When the fourty years have been played. the player will write an AAR describing those fourty years in any way he chooses.

2. To simplify things for the audience I suggest that the players post all their years at one time. When every player has posted his AAR it is time for voting. Any member on these forums has a vote. The voting will be done through a poll [I think that LD can assist us with that, otherwise we'll find another way]. I would like to see that you didn't vote for yourself or in any other way try to alter the results of the vote. However there is no way to stop that so I leave it up to your conscience. If it is proved that a participant has or has tried to alter the results in any way favourable to himself that participant is disqualified. I suggest that the participants vote for the AAR the think is the most worthy winner besides their own.

3. When the poll has been closed the votes are counted. The participant who has the most votes gets glory and fame and possibly something more, we'll see.

4. The participants of the first contest are so far:

Barkdreg
Sheridan
Alex The Commie
Lucidor
Tokarev

It sounds like an interesting idea Tokarev. I'd participate but I'm writing an AAR in EU II and unless I quit my job I'm not going to have the time to join. But a question comes to mind. What constitutes winning? The best written? Might be a disadvantage to those who don't have English as their first language. The player who gains the most territory in the game? Again interesting idea and good luck.

The audience (ie anyone interested) gets to vote in an ordinary poll. The AAR that gets the most votes wins. The readers might enjoy different things, strategy tips, good writing or something else. So, as you see, there is nothing in particular, just the over-all feeling of the AAR.

We all know I'm going to win:D
I'll break the legs from everybody who doesn't vote for me.

Darn, forgot that I'm not suposed to post here.
